Programming unit for addressable Portable programmer  PP is intended for setting, viewing and changing of addressable devices addresses: Optical Smoke Detector OSD64, Heat Detector HD29, Optical/heat detector OHD64, Manual Call Point MCP11, Input module IM1, IM4, Output Module OM1 and OM4.

Portable programmer PP is a portable self-powered compact device (4 batteries of AAA type).

Portable programmer PP ensures:

• viewing and changing device address;
• testing detectors using laser tester.

The programmer has a socket for connection of addressable fire detectors.

Connection of other addressable devices is via a terminal positioned in the upper part of the Portable programmer PP device.

To power-up the programmer press and hold any key on the screen for 2 seconds.

Automatic power-off is in 20 seconds unless an addressable device is connected. Automatic power-off of the programmer – in 60 seconds after the last pressing the key in case an addressable device is connected.

To set a new parameter of an addressable device one should:

• connect an addressable device to the programmer socket;
• press the “Reading” button;
• set the device address using the keys “+1”, “+10”, “+100”;
• Complete the device addressing procedure by pressing the “save” key.

The address of any addressing device consists of two parts:

• the first part – DCL number of a control and indicating device. This number is set automatically when connecting an addressable device to a corresponding DCL of the device.
• second part – device number in the loop, from 1 to 250.
