Unipolar loop circuit insulator IZ-1 prot.R3 is designed to be used within address communication lines RS-R3 of receiving and control devices Rubezh-2OP prot.R3, Rubezh-KAU1 prot.R3, and Rubezh-KAU2 prot.R3 incorporated into fire alarm and fire extinguishing system RUBEZH. Loop circuit insulator  insulates short-circuited sections of address communication line thus ensuring functioning of the rest part of a communication line. When short circuit condition is reset, loop circuit insulator automatically restores functioning of address communication line.

The loop circuit insulator IZ-1 prot.R3 is designed for disconnection of a part of dedicated communication line (DCL) in case of a short circuit.

The loop circuit insulator IZ-1 prot.R3 is address device and takes one address in DCL.

To connect to address communication line, two double contact terminal blocks ALS1 and ALS2 are available on the board. ALS1 and ALS2 terminals have equal priority in connection with DCL.

The following is available at the loop circuit insulator board:

–  ALS1 and ALS2 terminals – double contact terminal blocks of equal priority in connection with DCL;

–  State indicator;

–  TEST/tamper button

Protected section of the loop circuit starts near the insulator and ends near the next insulator or the last device within the loop circuit or branch.
